The BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation (BCAITC) seeks a dynamic leader to advance its mission of bringing agriculture and food education to students across British Columbia.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the role involves strategic leadership, overseeing programs, and building partnerships with educators, industry leaders, and government agencies. The Executive Director will drive financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and public engagement to expand the foundation’s impact. By fostering collaboration and advocacy, this position plays a crucial role in shaping the future of agricultural education in BC.
Position Profile
This role is key to advancing BCAITC’s strategic vision and long-term sustainability. The Executive Director will:
Engage with stakeholders
Oversee program development
Manage financial resources to ensure stability and growth.
Drive operational efficiency
Foster partnerships with government, educators, and industry leaders.
Advocate for agricultural education.
Strengthen public outreach and ensuring BCAITC’s continued impact on students across the Province.
Key Accountability Areas
Strategic Vision & Leadership: Propel the mission and ensure the organization & sustainability.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key partners.
Program Development & Execution: Align educational initiatives with BC curricula.
Financial Management: Oversee financial stability and budgetary planning.
Operational Efficiency: Lead the team and manage resources effectively.
Public Relations & Advocacy: Represent BCAITC at events and advocate for agricultural
education.
Board Collaboration: Provide insights and ensure alignment with Board directives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Education, Leadership or a related field.
5-10 years of leadership experience in nonprofit, education, or association
management.
Expertise in fundraising, advocacy, and program management.
